Yes, it is true. You are able to come to this year"s Meredith Music Festival on the Friday. But you will need a special ticket. Here are the facts:

• It will cost you about $22 extra to get entry to the festival on Friday.
• Gates will open for Friday Ticketholders at 4pm on Friday December 13th 2002, and close at midnight. Gates open for normal weekend ticketholders at 7am on Saturday 14th December 2002.
• You have to pre-buy Friday tickets, there will be none at the gate.
• All facilities and amenities will be open on the Friday Û food stalls, The Pink Flamingo Bar, the OnSite Bottleshop, The Meredith Eye (Ferris Wheel), toilets, first aid, entertainment in the way of bands, DJs and a few other things, and all the camping grounds. All the usual rules apply and security will be present.
• Friday night will be an Early Night; the entertainment from the stage will stop at 1:30am, and a 3am noise curfew in the camping grounds will apply. Team Meredith like the æshape" of the traditional Meredith weekend and do not want to turn Friday night into a big night. It is just a chance for some lucky people to get in and get a top campsite and get set up early.
