HOW TO GET THERE
This year's festival is being held about one mile from last year's, so go exactly the same way, and once you are nearing the site, our friendly staff will guide you to the action.
Meredith Music Festival is on Mt. Mercer Road, Meredith. Meredith
is halfway between Geelong and Ballarat on the midland Highway,
about 90kms due west of Melbourne. By car from Melbourne it is a
90 minute drive, however you should allow a full two hours on the
weekend of the festival. Melway Map: 511 C3. The festival can also
be reached by public transport.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
It's easy, cheap and quick to get to and from Meredith by Public Transport. We love the Public Transport system - it's one of the best in the world in fact - and encourage its use. (Nobody paid us to say that). Basically, there are trains from Spencer Street Melbourne to Geelong station (approx. 60 mins), then there are buses from Geelong Station to Meredith town (approx. 30mins), then the Meredith Festival Shuttle Bus will take you from Meredith town to the Festival site (approx. 10mins). The trains and buses are run by the State Public Transport authorities, so contact each station for prices of fares. The shuttle bus from Meredith town to and from the Festival site costs $2 per trip.
For fares and confirmation of timetable etc. please contact the
Geelong Station on 5226 6491, or VLine online: www.vlinepassenger.com.au
Here is the timetable which was current as of August 2002, please
check back here or with VLine closer to the festival to ensure correct
